Weddings & Civil Ceremonies
What you get from YOURTOASTMASTER – Richard Lavender:
- Arrive around 2 hours before your wedding to get everything set up and ready.
- Coordinate with the venue’s wedding or banqueting team to ensure the day runs smoothly.
- Meet with the bride to confirm timings and that everything is going to plan.
- Check that the venue setup matches your wishes – flowers, chairs, and all the little details.
- Meet the groom, best man, and ushers to go through the ceremony and make sure everyone knows their role.
- Welcome your guests as they arrive and guide them to the Ceremony area.
- Receive or direct, cards and gifts from your guests.
- Support the registrars by ensuring the groom is ready at the right time.
- Handle any last-minute changes to the schedule with ease.
- Make sure guests are in the ceremony room at the correct time.
- After the ceremony, assist the photographer if needed to capture those special moments.
RECEPTION: – After your ceremony
- Welcome guests and guide them to the function area.
- Assist the photographer with group shots or any special photo requests.
- Organise a confetti line if desired.
- Make key announcements, including the entrance of the bride and groom – a highlight of the day!
- Coordinate formal moments such as grace, the loyal toast, speaker introductions, and any toasts.
- Ensure bouquets, gifts, and other items are ready for presentation.
- Help with the cake-cutting, working closely with the photographer and videographer.
- Organise the all-important First Dance in collaboration with the DJ or venue.
